Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Morgan has known that she wanted to be a dentist ever since she was six years old and still in elementary school – and she’s never even had a cavity! Today, she’s still 100% confident that this was the perfect career for her to choose. She loves having relationships with her patients that last for many years, as well as sharing the power of preventive care with them and watching their wellbeing improve, especially since the mouth is a mirror of overall health. Additionally, she enjoys the wonderful blend of art and science that dentistry offers.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Morgan graduated with honors from the University of Richmond in 1991 with her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) School of Dentistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1995. From there, she achieved her certificate in Advanced General Dentistry from MCV in 1996 and has been practicing dentistry in the Virginia Beach area ever since.

Today, Dr. Morgan is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a Fellow of the esteemed Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dental Studies. She has completed over 1,500 hours of continuing education throughout her career, with a focus on cosmetic dentistry, TMJ treatment, and orthodontics. She is currently a member of the following organizations:

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Morgan is married to her wonderful husband Paul, and they one beautiful daughter named Haley. Outside of the dental office, you can often find her running, riding her Peloton, traveling, cooking, and supporting her daughter’s dance team (don’t worry, she’s definitely not a TV dance mom)! She also loves doing puzzles, and her favorite TV show by far is Jeopardy.
